When should I have an Asbestos R&D Survey?

It is strongly advised that any survey takes place as soon as possible in the process, as some materials will be categorised as licensed asbestos by the HSE. This will mean that a 14-day notification period is mandatory alongside the formal notification of works. Depending on the size of the project, this means we may only be able to mobilise after 3 weeks to carry out the removal.

Our experienced surveyors will minimise the risk of any release of asbestos fibres caused by sampling. An extremely small fragment of the material is required to obtain an accurate sample. Therefore, you can be sure that the premises will be left safe after the survey is completed.
